“With White Lamb” – SLOW BLOOMER comment on their new track

1 min read

Soon after their recent video premiere, German emo/indie rock act SLOW BLOOMER return with a new track “With White Lamb” and we’re stoked to share their official commentary on its meaning and how it corresponds with the concept of the debut full length Nudity, slatred for a March 10th release via a number of amazing DIY labels Flood Records (BE), Miss The Stars Records (DE), Koepfen (DE), Midsummer Records (DE) and Through Love Records (DE). Check it out below and dive into their charming, refining take on well-known sounds, remaining ambitious enough to enthrall even demanding listeners.

With White Lamb takes NUDITY’s recurring motif of the contrastive mosaic of identity and explores the opportunities of self-navigation and self-control by provoking deliberate confrontations with physical or emotional agony. More specifically, it illustrates this narrative through the lense of a performance audience which, in its interaction with the artist and the situation at hand, shares its inspiration, demands, reflections and questions relating to a different, more constructive take on the nature of suffering. The lyrics reference several situational elements from Abramavic’s “Rhythm” series that provide the framework for the song’s nervous imperative.”

Lyrics:

I follow every line,
every twitch around your eyes
Your frame objectified
The pain your nerves defy

Tap into me

Explore the corners of my bowels
and turn my insides out
Stain the paper with each round,
record the rhythm

Endurance
Convert us
Resurface me whole

Motionless in the star of flames
Choose your weapons wisely
Your absolution will define us

You’ve got your fingers down my throat,
test limits of control
Do you catalogue the wounds
and feed off them?

Endurance
Convert us
Resurface me whole
