Wild rock act MUNGMEN premiere new track “Yeti Prince”

1 min read

Brooklyn based noisy garage rockers THE MUNGMEN have teamed up with us to give you a foretaste of their upcoming release with an undeniably tight new single “Yeti prince”, flushing with vigorous riffage and infused with punk rock urgency. Listen below and stay tuned for more new records from these guys as we bet they’ll get a little weirder and wilder on their next release. Enjoy!

Catch THE MUNGMEN perform at Revolution Bar & Grill in Amityville, NY on Saturday, January 21st. Tickets go on sale soon, for more information go to their Facebook page.

The band commented on the new single:

“We wrote Yeti in a farmhouse in upstate New York. Spencer and Aidan went out on a bender one night and had an altercation with an officer on their way home. She gave Spencer a taste of the long dick of the law. The song’s lyrics hint at struggles with the powers that be- specifically thought police. Or it could be more about being a fucked-up, schizo paranoid freak that gets trapped in their own head- something the whole family can relate to. Who knows… but we CAN say that we’ve begun work on our debut album, and will be releasing more singles as they’re finished. Give us a like on Facebook and stay up to date, we have some exciting announcements coming up!”

Lyrics:

I know if you can’t get pulled over driving too slow
Unless you tried, because I just want to figure this out before the guns do
It’s not a myth;
Cus it’s over that’s insane

In the rear view mirror lights are flashing red and blue
I’ve got nothing to hide; nothing to do
When it’s late driving all the boys are bored
Want some info to store- post 1984
When there’s patriot hypocrite proletariats
When will we know about it?
