WAR Records is the Los Angeles hardcore label founded and run by Andrew Kline, a guitarist in Strife. It has released Strife’s own records, among them “Live At The Troubadour” in November 2017, a DVD and album of a set the band played at the Troubadour in Los Angeles in February 2005.
In 2017 Kline also formed Berthold City, a straight edge band in which he put down the guitar to sing. WAR released their debut 7″, “Moment Of Truth”, in 2018 and their debut album, “When Words Are Not Enough”, in 2022, the year Kline talked to IDIOTEQ about making it. In 2026 the label released “Mercy For None” by Dresden’s Risk It!, who went through the album track by track. In 2025 Kline said most of his vinyl was pressed in the Czech Republic, and that his first answer to new US tariffs would be to move production home.
