Swedish hardcore band NO OMEGA streaming new song; announce shows!

1 min read

Swedish hardcore punk act NO OMEGA have premiered a new song called ‘Safe’, coming from their 3rd album, ‘Culture’, slated for a mid-April. Recorded in Söderhamn with Dennis Bertilsson and mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley at the Atomic Garden Studio (DEAFHEAVEN, LOMA PRIETA, DANGERS, OATHBREAKER), the track “Safe” marks the first insight into the new offering. Listen below and scroll down to see their upcoming tour dates, including an Ieperfest appearance in Belgium!

No Omega vocalist Oscar offered the following for New Noise Magazine, who premiered the song:

“‘Safe’ was the first song that was written for the new album. I remember Daniel (guitar) and Gabriel (drums) had just like put the first half of the song together and recorded it on Gabriel’s phone, just before the tour we did in the summer of 2015. And they were listening to it backstage at some show, and I was like: ‘Wow! What’s that? Sounds awesome. I wish we could write something like that.’”

Lyrics:

I used to feel safe
Inside my cage
At least from the inside,
I could watch the others shake.
While i sat there
Unshaken

Now i’m afraid of fear
So sick of being scared
I can’t walk around my loose ends
Nothing can save me, dear

I can’t stop this
I can’t pretend anymore
I’m afraid of years to come
Because I’ll probably spend them alone

However
I don’t ask you to change
All i want
Is for you to see
See things my way,
This once, this one time
And to understand
Let there be room for me

You used to feel safe
Outside my cage
At least from the outside
You could watch me
