Right after the worldwide release via Magic Bullet Records, metallic hardcore bands INTEGRITY and POWER TRIP are streaming their new 12” split in full!
Noisey magazine commented:
“You know a split between Cleveland’s legendary dark hardcore bruisers INTEGRITY (who, as it happens, hail from the most metal city in the nation) and Dallas’ POWER TRIP is bound to be lit. Lucky for you, Magic Bullet made it happen, and will release the pair’s new EP this coming Friday,” Noisey offers. “Both groups, despite the huge gaps in age, have produced some of the best hardcore-metal fusions to date, so this release was truly meant to be. It’s only sort of a new release for both bands, as it’s mostly comprised of previously released material, but old shit from INTEGRITY andPOWER TRIP is still better than most bands’ newer stuff.”
The INTEGRITY and POWER TRIP split is semi-dual-reissue in nature, as INTEGRITY’s contribution is a retooled, remixed rendering of their 2010 Magic Bullet Records 7” VVe Are the End. The POWER TRIP material culls the two original tracks from their Self-Titled 7” on Lockin’ Out Records, originally released in 2011. Previously unheard or released prior, INTEGRITY also contributes “Her Eyes Is Filled With ϟtars,” their bizarre experimental song that serenades Stephanie. This unusual song is exclusive to this split across all formats.
Brand new artwork and layouts by INTEGRITY’s Dwid Hellion draws further cohesion between the bands on this one, as both physical formats feature a “co-headliner” visual presentation and a foldout poster containing all lyrics, credits, and additional original artwork. For vinyl fans, the first pressing is being issued on three color ways: black, clear, and red. Both sides are spun at 45rpm for maximum fidelity. The record will also see CD and full digital release.
The record sees release this Friday, June 17th via Magic Bullet Records; preorders for the LP can be placed HERE, the CD HERE, and digital HERE.
INTEGRITY is confirmed to play Amnesia Rockfest in Montebello, Quebec later this month alongside Jane’s Addiction, Ice Cube, Twisted Sister, Anthrax, Agnostic Front, Misfits, Dead Kennedys, D.R.I., Cannibal Corpse, Corrosion Of Conformity, Voivod, and countless others. In August, INTEGRITY will perform as one of the main acts at this year’s This Is Hardcore in Philadelphia, confirmed to headline the Electric Factory on Friday, August 5th, joined by Ringworm, Nails, Full Of Hell, Eternal Sleep, and more.
POWER TRIP continues to tour across Europe this week before returning stateside for a North America with Terror, Harms Way, Angel Dust, Fury, and Red Death from July 6th through the 30th. The band will also play at This Is Hardcore on Saturday, August 6th, with Gorilla Biscuits, Terror, Killing Time, The Trouble, Wisdom In Chains, Most Precious Blood, Incendiary, and many others. September sees them at Off Limites Fest in Mexico City, Mexico, and October will see the band at Southwest Terror Fest in Tucson, Arizona alongside Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Nails, Saint Vitus, Old Man Gloom, Infest, Sumac, and many others.
