New England punk-rockers FOUR YEAR STRONG Four Year Strong is currently on tour in the U.S. with Good Charlotte, The Story So Far and Big Jesus in support of their latest, self-titled album. In early 2017 the band will head to Europe for their “Rise Or Die Trying 10th Anniversary Tour.” The tour starts in Spain on the 30th of January. Their labelmates BOSTON MANOR are to support, but they’re not appearing at the shows in Spain.

In other news, the band is getting into the Christmas spirit by releasing a cover of “Somewhere In My Memory” from the 1990 classic holiday movie “Home Alone”. Originally written and recorded by famed composer John Williams for the original motion picture soundtrack for “Home Alone”, “Somewhere In My Memory” was nominated for Best Original Song by the Academy Awards after its release in 1990 and has since become a holiday classic. Listen and see the details below.

The band commented on the cover:

“We’ve wanted to record a Christmas song for as long as I can remember,” says lead vocalist/guitarist Alan Day. “Dan and I finally decided to sit down and figure out a way to make it happen and we couldn’t be happier about how it turned out. We wanted to do a song that hasn’t been covered a million times, and “Home Alone” is one of the best movies ever made, so “Somewhere In My Memory” seemed like the perfect song. We hope our rendition gives everyone as much holiday cheer as we had while recording it. Merry Christmas!”

Talking on the upcoming tour the band said:

“In 2007 we put out a record called Rise or Die Trying, starting us down a path that would lead us all over the world, and drastically change our lives. With 2017 marking the 10 year anniversary, it’s time to say thank you. Thank you to everyone that came out and supported our young band, thank you to everyone who still goes crazy at shows when we play RODT songs, and thank you to a record that gave us these last ten years. Over the next year we will be announcing Rise or Die Trying 10 year shows all over the world where we will be playing the record front to back, the first of which being announced today in Europe this February. We are doing these shows at smaller, intimate venues to really make it something special”.
