FIRST BLOOD cancel their European tour due to drummer’s eye injury; second leg in August still on!

1 min read

Hardcore band FIRST BLOOD have canceled the first part of their European Summer tour due to the band’s drummer AJ Borish requiring surgery following his eye injury. The pack will be back on the road in August.

The band issued the following message:

“We are sorry to announce that we must cancel entirely our upcoming RULES European Summer Tour Part 1. Losing AJ our drummer to such unfortunate circumstances (emergency eye surgery) on the night before the first show was a major setback, and we wish him a full and speedy recovery. However, finding a suitable fill-in drummer to execute a full set of material, new and old, on such short notice, was simply too great a challenge.

We released our newest LP “RULES” less than five months ago on Pure Noise Records and we were really looking forward to playing more new songs on this tour. We do NOT want to “half-ass” perform these songs live or play shortened sets for the sake of appearing. I put my fucking heart into this record and I don’t want to show up on tour at anything less than full strength, especially in support of this new album.

Instead, we will focus strong on Part 2 of our European Summer Tour in August. We have already been in contact with new drummers and plan to start rehearsals again soon.

We apologize to everyone who organized this tour, the fests, and all the club shows we were scheduled to play. We will make this up to you. As always, thank you for the support, and see you next time.”
